How we help Parents

Let us help your child find their voice

Through a close partnership between therapist and parent, we share simple, clinically sound ways to help your child communicate more which are adaptive and responsive to both of your needs.

Our gentle, play-based approach to children’s speech is designed to nurture the relationship between you and your child.

With group sessions, workshops, and one-on-one appointments on offer, you can choose which format best suits you.

Our Services...

 Private Appointments

First, we discuss your concerns and your child's development history in depth. Through play-based and formal assessment, we learn about your child’s play, communication, and interaction skills.

Then, we work together on a plan which best helps their communication to grow.

You will have some one-on-one coaching sessions, in which our therapist models simple techniques which you practise in the session. Then we’ll set up a home practice programme together – home practice is an essential part of effective speech therapy.

All sessions are scheduled at time intervals which work best for your schedule and budget.

Parent Workshops

Workshops give you time and space apart from your child, to chat with the therapist and other parents about your concerns.

Together, we’ll talk about speech, language, and fluency development in children and how to help – sharing and trying out some practical ideas for you to take home.

Every workshop has a half-time break, when you can chat with parents who are having similar experiences. All the parent workshops have a creche facility, so there’s no need to arrange childcare.

Through these workshops, we help you pair up with other parents as ‘therapy buddies’. Having a buddy means you can book appointments together for your children, sharing the cost, saving money and taking the anxiety out of therapy at the same time.

Small Group Therapy

Join a small group therapy with 2 or 4 other parents.  A small group, with other parents in a similar position to you gives you the opportunity to share your concerns and talking tips together. In a small group, your child can have fun with other children whilst they learn.

In Small Group Therapy Session 1, you have the choice to pair up with another parent as a ‘therapy buddy,’ or continue to individual sessions.

Having a buddy means you can book appointments together for your children, share the cost, save money - and take the worry out of therapy at the same time. You can keep in touch to share tips and progress outside of the sessions.
