Meet the Tiny Communicators Team
After seventeen years working as a specialist Early Years Speech and Language Therapist in the NHS; I founded Tiny Communicators to share clinically sound tools with parents and staff, which help children find their voice in a gentle and fun way.

Anne’s Approach
I have noticed that children, even if they have difficulties, are always in the process of teaching themselves to talk or communicate. When we let them discover and explore the world and notice and comment on what they see and do, they start to communicate more.
In my dedicated clinic space at home, there is a pretend café, forest house, dolls, and a teddy hospital so we can encourage imaginary play, learning a language together.
I love to be outdoors, and, in the summer, I take my clinic to the garden where we can play with a wigwam, water the flowers, and make pretend potions and soups with the mud kitchen. New experiences each day, however small, enrich and impact on our children’s language and communication in an intense way. Everything a child does and sees, when they are under five years old makes hundreds of superfast connections in their brains!
I love the company of children so much because I am an explorer too! To relax in the summer, I enjoy walking in the woods or by the sea. In winter, I like to explore London’s museums and sights, and take a boat down the Thames.
Anne’s Professional Background

Having qualified from City University in London in 2006, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy, I went on to hold a Highly Specialist role with the Cambridgeshire University NHS Trust Speech and Language Therapy Team.
I have helped hundreds of pre-school children develop their language skills. I also support children aged 3 - 11 years who have speech sound or stammering difficulties. I work with children who are bilingual or trilingual.
As well as working directly with the children, I help parents build the confidence and skills they need to support their child’s development. I also run training and consultation sessions for early years’ practitioners and teaching assistants in nurseries, preschools, and schools.

Speech and Language Therapy Assistant
As Speech and Language Therapy Assistant at Tiny Communicators, Glynnis runs the Rhyme Time Language Enrichment Group, and helps families practising their speech and language therapy programmes.
Glynnis began her career working as the Head Housekeeper at Claridges Hotel in London. A lifelong lover of animals, she then used her housekeeping and people skills working in the vet support team at the Royal Veterinary College.
Glynnis has always felt her vocation in life is to help people, so in her next role she became a specialist carer, helping elderly people live independently in their own homes.
In her downtime, Glynnis likes to play with her grandchildren and walk her dogs George and Jose. She is a keen gardener, she loves to grow her own veg, and she has a huge Christmas tree growing in the garden.
With three children, four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, Glynnis has a wealth of experience teaching, playing with, and learning with little ones!
